If you’re a Facebook chat user who likes to add a smiley or two to conversations, try Facebook ChatBar +, a Firefox add-on for Facebook.
Everybody knows about the elusive Facebook smileys – they’re hard to use because you have to use keyboard shortcuts to get to them. There aren’t that many, but you’re going to have to either remember them, or open a guide in another tab and refer to or cut and paste from that.
Facebook ChatBar + removes this problem by providing a list of Facebook smileys at the top of your conversation window. To add one, simply click on it and it will appear in your chat – you can move it around by cutting and pasting or just dragging.
Facebook ChatBar + is a simple app that does what it says it will, but it is by no means comprehensive. The smiley bar doesn’t float to the top of the conversation, so after a few lines, you’ll have to scroll back up to click. In addition, Facebook ChatBar + doesn’t have any configuration options, and you can’t add any new smileys either.
Facebook ChatBar + is a basic app to help you add smileys to Facebook chat. It’s not very good though.
